WOO-HOO!!! IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY!!!

We're "3" years old this week!! That's right.....and we are celebrating all week long. We have all kinds of great sales being offered each day along with our Girl's Night Out this Thursday from 6-9 PM.

Not only are we stocked with tons of super cute party decorations, we will be giving away yummy cupcakes on Thursday too!

Seven pallets of inventory arrived and we are working quickly to get it out on the floor.
Meanwhile, as I was working on a few displays yesterday I noticed that we have several very attractive sets of canisters.
So I thought I'd give you a look-see at all the different combinations.

For something different why not try filling them with Easter candy.......

....or cotton balls, Q-tips and bath salts.....

More, more and more!

That's Designer Blvd. in a nutshell. Everyday as we unpack new items and place them on the floor I walk around in amazement at all the unique and fun decor we can packed into one building.

If I had a nickel for everytime I said, "Oh, this is so cute!", I would be rich!

As we begin to bring in the new Spring lines we are seeing much more color. Yellow, lavender, blue and green are strong. These are such happy colors.

By adding just one colorful piece you can liven up your home. We also have an abundance of greenery to choose from. Including a green ball or a topiary will truly enhance your display.

Don't be afraid to incorporate several different textures into your displays. A little bit of vintage with some mirror and ironwork can make a great statement.

For those who are looking for a more Mediterranean or Tuscan look will find many choice at our store too.

Ruffles and Lace

Nothing says "feminine" like ruffles and lace. When women wear it we just seem to feel really soft and pretty.....well I do anyway! An evidently the trend setters must think it's a good look too, cause I am seeing a lot of it in our store right now.

It's pretty darn cute! Makes you just want to prance around a little. Check out the ruffle on the bottom left shirt...is that stinkin cute or what??

Here it is in the dress version.

And not to be left out...these darling little rose change purses. I thought they were hair clips until I turned them over and saw the zipper on the back! LOL! Who wouldn't want one of these sweet little items in their purse.

So many changes have been going on in the store over this past week. We have been moving a lot of furniture around, putting in some new lighting, hung some new wallpaper, brought in lots of new product and we still have much, much more to do. We think you'll agree that the shop just keeps getting better and better. You'll have to stop in and see what you think.

Hoppin Down The Bunny Trail

We just couldn't resist...it's just so stinkin cute...we know it's a little early....you have to admit it's a nice change! I think this means I need to get my Valentine decorations put away at home!

We have a large selection of darling Easter decor right now. Not sure how long it will last so you may want to stop in soon and load up. But I'm warning you...you're going to have a hard time choosing!!

I love anything with words on it. Guess it's because they tend to be so inspirational and meaningful. So you can guess how thrilled I was when these showed up at the store.

They come in all sizes and tons of different sayings.

Sweater, belt, ruffle all in one darling top. This is a top that would work great for work and then on to an evening out. We added this awesome necklace with it. Love all the extra embellishment on it.

If romantic is what you're looking for....we have that too! This sweet feminine top has a lace covered front with tie.

Pearls never seem to go out of style. Together with crystals these necklaces really set this top apart from the others. We think is rocks with jeans!

Repurposed wood, linen, burlap, script!

We've had fun setting up all this new merchandise. The cool part is that most of it can be worked into your present look and bring you up to date in your home decor. Like these darling blue-green ceramics pieces. We have 2 sizes of cannisters, a large apple and large pear.

You can take your pick of several styles of linen script pillows.

This cool tin box makes a wonderful accesorie to sit on a coffee table or shelf.

Green With Envy

Do you find that when you are searching for those perfect Christmas gifts that you seem to find more things for yourself? I know I sure do. Sometimes it's a real struggle to try to stay focused on who I am buying for. This happened to me just the other day while working on this display in the store. I am all about these new GREEN ceramic items.

This green is such a fun, vibrant color. It just seems to make the whole room come to life. These jars are so cool. All that great scroll work.

We even paired it with a jar of a different green.

I'm completely in love with this ceramic horse! And you don't even have to feed and water him!!

In With The New

All I want for Christmas is .....EVERYTHING!!!

Yes, I know, that's really bad. I need to be thankful for what I have (and I am) but is it so wrong to desire
all these new gorgeous items? This wonderful buffet by Hooker, or the big, black cannister set, or how about those amazing lamps.....sigh!

A great way to dress up your table top is with these pretty mercury glass scented votives. One says "Fleurs" and the other has a gold crown on it. They smell heavenly!

The cool thing about these cannisters are that they also come with matching spoon rest, coaster set and salt/pepper shakers.

Because RED is my favorite color I am partial to this display.

Roosters are timeless...just never go out of style. This whole display would look awesome in your home!

Since I fail at bread baking, these loaves would definitely work at my house. Well, as long as you don't try to eat them! Check out that amazing mirror on the wall.

Here's a cute gift for anyone on your list. Great price and unique.

Gosh, there is so much more I have to show you but they are calling me to come work on the floor...bummer. Guess you'll have to wait for the next post!

Red, White and Green!

Thought I'd change it up a little today and show you how I have used some Designer Blvd. purchases in my home Christmas decor. Working amongst all their great product makes it VERY hard not to go home with it!
The wreath above is one of many beautiful creations that our floral designer, Sheri, has made.

This is sweet Stacy hard at work!
I had been drooling over these mercury glass jugs for weeks and finally broke down and bought them.
Really like them on my coffee table with the Designer Blvd. velvet flower accent.

Picked up these apothocary jars and dressed them up with some Christmas ribbon and filled them with candy.

In this tablescape I used Designer Blvd.'s glass snowflake bottle toppers.

Thought I could use these bottles in January too since it's still a winter theme on the table.

I just love this red, white and green door sway that Sheri made. It makes for such a festive welcome for guests.

This Believe platter is so cute sitting on top of my kitchen cabinets. Really shows up at night with the little white lights I have laying below it.

So there you have a little peek into my house for the holiday.
Now on to more fun stuff.......new clothes and accessories!!! We have TONS of new cool scarves in the store. All colors, sizes and styles. Here is one of our new cardigans. It comes in a grey and this pretty green. We put it with a white top and a blingy little necklace and a pair of Rock Revival jeans.

Leggings, jeans or wear it as a dress...you will look stunning in any of these combinations. Add a little jewelry, a cute purse and you're set for that holiday shindig!!

As you get your home all "prettied up" for the holidays remember the store still has some Christmas decorations left at 70% off. That's a GREAT deal!!

Tic-Toc, Tic-Toc...

Less then 3 weeks until Christmas...can you believe it! Where has the time gone? Do you still need to get that last great gift? Or maybe your home needs a little update. Our new home decor items are rolling in by the truckload. Isn't this gigantic clock picture yummy. Good thing I get to play "decorate" at the store cause my husband would kill me if I tried to lug all these cool new items home!

Subway art is definitely one of the new trends and we have got this awesome wall board to prove it.

Nesting tables never go out of style and they are so useful.

OK, I must admit that I was so smitten with this new chair that I had to try it out.....and yes, it's really comfy....and great looking. We just happen to have two if your interested.

The fabric is like a black and cream tweed and the wood is black.

If you like to cuddle with someone this chair is for you! It's built for two.

These little jars make such a nice gift and the price is right too.

Whew!!! What a weekend! The turnout for our Black Friday sale was amazing! You all got some great deals and we cleared out a ton of merchandise.

Furniture, Pictures and More

Spent the last few days rearranging and restocking the store. For those of you who have never done any merchandising, this is hard work. Up and down 10 ft. ladders, hanging by your toenails as you lean over to hammer in a nail; lifting, pushing and dragging 200 lb. pieces of furniture, bending, kneeling, crawling around furniture and accessories to get "just the right placement"!! BUT OH, THE SATISFACTION OF THE ENDING RESULT!!! And all for your shopping pleasure. It's a thrill to work with such wonderful products. Take a look...............

I'm drooling over this darling new chair. Love the script writing all over it. The best part....there's more where this came from!

We have so many accessories right now that we are having difficulty finding room for all of them. Accessories always make a great Christmas present.

I snapped a couple quick pictures of some of the new art work. There is a lot more and I will try to get some more posted soon. That is if they don't sell first! These pieces have some bling on them...very cool!

The pillowcases are incredibly soft. They come packaged in a cute little muslin bag and would make wonderful gifts.

I think these wooden candlesticks are so unique. They look great all clustered together.

Just got our large store wall all re-dressed with new outerwear.....and Girlies, they are all super cute!
We've got a trendy look for every occasion.

This darling furry little number is so soft. The double ruffle on the bottom sets it apart from all the others.

Just put these out on the floor......love all these word boards.

I realize that Halloween is still a few days off, but we are only about 60 days from Christmas so thought you needed to see that we are still packed with gorgeous, fun, sparkly holiday items. We have many different manger sets. Isn't this one so pretty? Hmmm, do I need this one??? I'm thinking yes!

This one is my favorite! Each figurine is adorable. Isn't the little shepard boy on the ladder holding the hanging star the cutiest!

A new shipment of snowmen heads and hats just arrived. These put a smile on everyone's face.

Oh My Goodness, it is raining outside!!! Whooppeeeeee!!! I have our doors wide open and can smell that great, fresh rain. Arizona so rarely gets rain that we have to do a little "jig" in celebration of some wet weather when it does happen.
I even have jeans on today...He, he.....skinny jeans, of course!
Enough about all this, looks what's new in the store for these FALL days.

Lots of grey for fall. We have several really cute tops....some with bling and some without. We just replenished our earring and jewelry wall. And I can tell you that the look is BIG. Big earrings, big necklaces, big pins. Come check it out!
Now it's off to work for me.....Hmmmmm, should I wear my boots?

Rested and Back in the Saddle!

Our Christmas House was a big success thanks to all of you! I am finally rested up and ready to roll.

It was kind of fun to change my focus over the past couple days to the clothing and jewelry boutique side of the store. So many super cute new items are on the floor that I didn't even know about.

For instance,

....this sweater top is so cute! I love all the colorful outline prints on it. It looks smashing with leggings and goes with so many different colored tops. Check out the little brown hat on top of the mannequin.

We got busy in the shop before I was able to get all the photos I wanted so the pics stop here today. Guess you'll have to stop by to see all the good stuff! Christmas and Thanksgiving are still going strong with all kinds of glorious goodies for your home. Oh, and not to overlook Halloween. We have a great stash of Halloween decor at 50% off!!

I'm still brushing off glitter from my face, arms and legs these days. I think that is just the way it is going to be for a few more months. Hey, it just goes with my glittery personality!! LOL!

IT'S CHRISTMAS AT DESIGNER BLVD.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It started like this at 5pm on Saturday......

then to this from 9 AM through 9 PM on Sunday.....

then from 8AM through 10:30 PM Monday......

and finally from 8 AM through 11:30 PM Tuesday!

After 40+ hours of hard work, sore back, legs and feet, lots of Advil, sweat and glitter from head to toe

(also in hair, between toes, in nose and mouth and ears)

here is the fabulous final result!

We did not forget a VERY important holiday, THANKSGIVING!

We are thankful for our faith, family and friends,

and YOU our WONDERFUL patrons!

Incredible, huh? Last night when we were finishing up I just had to stand back and admire all our hard work. I was truly in awe of all the talent these women have. We are so lucky to have them working for us.

OK, now for the CRAZY part....we are still unpacking, pricing and placing more Christmas on the floor! YIKES!!!! I'm worried that we may spill out into the parking lot!

I'm not sure where to start.....with some pictures of new clothes....or new bracelets.....or....

OK, so I'm partial to Home Decor! I can't help myself. I am LOVING this new "cottage/contemporary" look. That's what I'm calling it anyway. It seems to mix in with almost all decor so effortlessly.

I wish I could take it all home. I guess I could, but then I would have to explain to my husband why I decided not to pay the electric bill and pay for all of this instead!! Any-who, this is the newest trend in decor. So if you are looking for a little update.....this is it!

This new cozy hoodie vest by Miss Me is a favorite too. I think the snap across collar is so cool. Pair it with some skinny jeans and one of these pretty stretch lace tops and you'll be a hit.

A new stock of darling winter coats are arriving daily. This one is too cute! Don't you love the color!

Oh, and we wouldn't want your wrists to get cold.......so here's a a furry little bracelet to keep them warm!

So, I happened to be watching the Today Show a couple days ago and they were showing some of the latest fashion trends for this fall and winter. One of them happened to be faux fur on dresses! Then I come to work on Monday and low and behold...........Carol has purchased just that!!!! How she manages to always be right on top of the trends is beyond me. OK, this dress is too cute. I do realize that it's a tad on the warm side still, but this is definitely a dress you will want to snatch-up now to wear in another month.

Pair this darling embellished jacket with a pair of skinny jeans and you will truly be the "BOMB!"

Leopard print with sequins on top makes for a super cool topper. This little jacket will be a real eye-catcher for the holidays and beyond.

If it's a cardigan you need this ruffled gray one should do the trick. We've put it over a little black dress and added some black and silver jewelry.

Loving the Fall Colors!

Orange, green, burgundy, purple, brown......love these warm fall colors. They just make you want to cozy up next to a fire with a cup of cocoa and a good book. Unless of course you live in AZ and it's 102 degrees outside!!! Then you just love to decorate for the fall and PRETEND it's crisp and cool outside!
I'm really liking these gorgeous lamps and yummy centerpiece. They totally say, "FALL."

Of course, you could always sneak in a ghoulish hand holding a happy pumpkin head just for fun!

We finally got our back room put together again. There are some very pretty lamps, wall decor and furniture just waiting for someone to take them home.

The kitchen is filled with all new items. If you're looking for canisters we have some nice ones. Wouldn't you know that Carol would go out and buy some very gorgeous red and black ones. My house is done in black and white and red! Oh, the temptation!!

Another Great Girl's Night Out!

Homemade potato soup, rolls, fruit and those cookies.....

..........well, all I can say is, no one ate just one!!!! I spent most of the evening on a sugar high. I don't even want to think about all the calories, yikes!
It was such a fun evening. Carol not only gave out door prizes every 1/2 hr. but she surprised us throughout the evening with 30 minute special sales. I'm telling you, if you haven't had the pleasure of attending one of these special nights (the 2nd Thursday of each month) you MUST make sure to put it on your calendar.
Now that we are all getting back into the school routine it's time to start thinking about those Halloween decorations.

We are still getting new shipments daily. In fact, if we get much more I'm afraid we won't know where to put it!! OK, I know I am probably prejudice, but honestly, it is the cutest Halloween decor I've seen in a long time. I want it all!!

This purple pumpkin head's eyes blink on and off! And he can even make SPOOKY NOISES if you want him too!!

Mr. Spider loves to just hang around while his legs blink.

OK, I need to move on. Can you tell I absolutely love Halloween! There are so many new clothing pieces in the store that you will have to come in to see them. Otherwise, I would be there all day trying to get pictures of everything. There is some very cool tops, coats, sweaters and dresses.

We received a large amount of new Home Decor this last week.

Since the jeweled frames were so popular we decided to continue to carry them. Here's a small sampling of some of them. I admire them every time we get them in the store. I really need to break down and buy one. They are so unique and such a pretty way to display a special photo.

At first I sight I thought there was some kind of wild animal laying on the ottoman in the store! But upon further investigation I realized that it was nothing to be frightened of.......it was just our fabulous new shipment of darling purses....GROWL!!!!
